Business Development Manager

Role Purpose
This is a field based, door to door sales role focused on generating new business through F2F Cold Calling. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for visiting businesses within your territory, introducing DNA Payments and creating new sales opportunities. This will consist of both cold calling to introduce yourself and DNA Payments and also attending appointments generated for you by our Business Development Executives.
This role requires resilience, confidence, and a highly driven mindset, as success comes from consistent activity and the ability to objection handle.
Key Responsibilities
· Attend appointments from our call centre team - An average of 1.5 per working day
· B2B cold calling (45+ door knocks daily depending on your call centre appointments)
· Engage directly with business owners and decision makers
· Identify customer needs and generate qualified sales opportunities
· Booking appointments and closing deals
· Build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships with merchants
· Accurately record all activity within Salesforce CRM
Performance Expectations
· Achieve a minimum of 30% conversion of call centre appointments after 3 months
· Process a minimum 0.4 self-generated sales a day (8 per average working month) after 3 months
· Generate consistent new business opportunities through face to face engagement
Book a minimum of 2 appointments per working day with decision makers in the field
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
Deliver a professional and engaging experience at every interaction
Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques

Desirable Experience
Previous experience in door to door sales, field sales, or customer facing roles is required.
Previous experience in the payments industry is advantageous
